Sixty per cent of credit card holders with investable assets of $100,000 or more say cash back is their favourite credit card perk, says a survey by CreditCards.com. In comparison, only 22 per cent say they prefer frequent flier miles. The survey also shows cash back is more attractive to wealthy women than men. Affluent women prefer cash back over miles nearly four-to-one (67 per cent to 17 per cent), while wealthy men prefer cash back more than two-to-one (56 per cent to 25 per cent). Among even the wealthiest Americans (those with investable assets of $500,000 or more), 53 prefer cash back over other rewards, while one-third said they’d choose mileage programs.
