Caesar's Palace - Windsor, Ontario

This is a very large complex.  It has two towers - Augusta is where you check in and valet park your car free.  The Augusta tower is for families.  Children are not allowed in the Forum tower which is on the other side of the Casino which joins the two towers.  I was in the Augusta tower, but the Forum tower is a long walk with bags from the reception lobby and though the Casino, so much so they should have a shuttle.

The drive from Chicago was about 4 hours.  On a Tuesday night, the lobby seemed empty with very few people around.  I assumed they were all in the Casino.  The front desk person was about as impersonal as you could get, but the room on the 14th floor was very nice and large, with a partial water view.  I went to the main restaurant in the lobby for dinner, and there were no more than 6 people there.  The meal was superb, however.

A rather bad first impression of the room was the hotel only supplies paper or plastic cups.  In this large room, the 32" TV seemed small.  The $13 bacon and eggs full breakfast from room service was excellent, and delivered promptly.

I was curious to find where all the people were and rode the escalator down to the Casino, which seemed almost empty.  In fact, none of the craps tables had anyone playing and there were several closed gambling tables.  The 'fun' of being in a casino wasn't there.

To be expected, this was vastly different from the Las Vegas Caesar's Palace.  Weekends should be more fun.  From a business perspective, this hotel complex should be able to hold your function regardless of size.
